Tebo Carmello, Sr., of Gonzales, passed away on January 30, 2023, at his residence at the age of 83.
He is survived by his step-daughters, Roxie Carson and husband Randy, Jenna Lachelle Lessard Guerra and husband, Bert Roy; step-sons, Joseph Stacey Lessard and wife Tammy, Robert Robbie Lessard, and Chad Michael Lessard; sisters, Leona (Elbert) McLaughlin of Plain Dealing, LA, Cora (Benjamin) Moreau of Evergreen, and Cathy (Steven) Perry of Patterson; brothers, Peter Carmello of Evergreen, Augustine (Eveline) Carmello of Amelia, Paul Carmello of Cottonport, John Carmello of Evergreen, Harold (Vickie) Carmello of Panama City, FL, Valentine Carmello of Bunkie, and Albert Carmello of Evergreen; 11 grandchildren, 11 greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Virgie Mae Aydell “Theresa” Carmello; son, Tebo Carmello, Jr.; step-son, Travis Lessard; parents, Maggie Carmello and Cisto Carmello; sisters, Frances Robin and Lucille Mose; brothers, Joseph and Phillip Carmello.
Visitation will be at Ascension Funeral Home in Gonzales, Monday, February 6, 2023, from 9:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at St. Theresa Catholic Church Cemetery.
