Alva White

Alva L. White, born April 3, 1917 to Frank and Winnie White died September 18, 2008. Alva was preschool and children's director at First Baptist Church Bossier City her entire working career. After retiring, she moved back to Prairieville to be with her siblings. She was a devoted member of Parkview Baptist Church. Alva is survived by one brother, Edwin White and a number nieces and great nieces and nephews. Her burial will be Wednesday September 24, 2008 at 10 a.m. at Resthaven Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled under the direction of Ascension Funeral Home, 426 West New River St., Gonzales. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
