Anita Clary

Anita Margarite Clary (Hernandez), 64 of Prairieville, died Thursday, January
18th 2023 at Our Lady of the Lake hospital.
She was born December 14th 1958 to Whitney and Rita Hernandez (Kling) in the
city of Lake Charles. She attended Foley High in Foley, Alabama where she spent
most of her childhood and teenage years. She later moved to Baton Rouge and
Ascension Parish, where she settled and had her children. She was a very loving
and devoted mother and grandmother, as well as a wonderful partner. She had
the gift to make friends anywhere she went and always brightened every room.
She is survived by her loving partner of 18 years, Marty Vascocu, her children
Melissa Andras and husband Craig, Melanie Clary and partner Carlton, Codi
Dupuy and husband Teddy, Joey Vascocu, Jayme Vascocu and partner Kyle. Her
12 gandchildren, Brianna, Tylon, Baylee, Payton, Natalie, Madison, Austin,
Arianna, Dason, Kelsey, Hadley, and Kori. She is also survived by her brother and
4 sisters, Paulette and Randy Salsbury, Patricia and Lenny Frey, Ramona
Hernandez, Trudy Alms and Jeff Hernandez. As well as many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by both of her parents, Whitney and Rita Hernandez and
brother Michael Hernandez.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 28th, 2023 at Ascension
Funeral Home 426 W. New River St. Gonzales, La. 70737. Services will start at
noon.
