Anita Helg

Anita Faye Helg passed away at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday June 2, 2021 at Our Lady of The Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, LA. She was 61 years old and a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Gonzales, LA. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home on Monday June 7, 2021 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. conducted by Fr. Rubin Reynolds, burial in Colyell Community Cemetery in Colyell, LA. She is survived by her husband of 44 years of marriage to Lawrence Helg, Jr; a daughter, Anita M. Helg and fiancée Jeremy Anderson; three sons, Eugene “Tony” Helg, John Helg and wife Kimberly, Junior Helg and wife Crystal; two step-sons, Lawrence Helg, III and Chaz Smith; a sister, Pam Habisreitinger; a brother, John B. Teal, Jr. ; six grandchildren, and ten step-grandchildren; one great grandchild. Preceded in death by her parents, J.B., Sr and Georgia Teal; mother-in-law and father-in-law Dorella and Lawrence Helg. She was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church.
