Bobby Savoy

Bobby Michael Savoy passed away on August 31, 2024, at the age of 71. He was a lifelong resident of Ascension Parish, graduate of East Ascension High School, and a member of the Local Carpenter's Union. He enjoyed spending time with his family, managing several small businesses, cooking, and was an avid outdoorsman. He will be remembered for his faith and passion for making rosaries. In his final months, he offered rosaries to anyone who visited or helped care for him.

Services will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Amant, LA. Visitation from 9:00 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Entombment in the mausoleum with a luncheon to follow at the Parish Center.

He is survived by his three children and their spouses, Kitzie and Dylan Major, Ean and Katie Fugler Savoy, and Jessica and Donnie Miller; his five grandchildren, Corynn Major, Elliot Savoy, Ellis Savoy, Cole Miller, and Mae Miller; his brother Robbie Savoy, Sr. and wife Judy Schilling Savoy; his sister-in-laws, Julie Russ Savoy and Linda Guitreau Savoy; and his numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Sr. and Hilda Clouatre Savoy; his brothers, Ellis Savoy, Wilton Savoy, and Perry Savoy; and his nephews, Robbie Savoy, Jr. and Clint Delaune.

Pallbearers: Ean Savoy, Dylan Major, Donnie Miller, Wade Savoy, Cale Savoy, and Harry Smith. Honorary Pallbearer: Robbie Savoy, Sr.

The family extends sincere thanks and gratitude to both medical and hospice staff that cared for him in his final days. A special sincere thank you to Cindy Savoy and Julie Landreneau for their unwavering love and support.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association in memory of his mother.
