Brent Duet

Brent Christopher Jude Duet Sr. found the answers to his eternal peace on Monday, Feb. 14, 2011. He was 39 with a mind full of brilliance for the unknown and one of the most original ways of teaching that he knew. He and his wife of 20 years, Dusty Dawn Duet, started their mission enlightenment in 2007. Even before this search, Brent could recited any scripture from the Bible. He knew his God well and knew he judged not by the actions but by the heart of a person. Brent and Dusty created four children in their time together here on earth, Devin Deshae Duet, 19, Brent Christopher Jude Duet Jr., 16, and a set of twins, Christian Jade and Kirstie Jordan Duet, 14. Through these children, his memory, teachings and spirit live on. Brent was also blessed with three grandsons, Dshawn Lamar Darville, whom he is now reunited with, Maliek Rashaud Darville, 2, and Isiah Emmanuel Duet, who is due July 24, 2011, and will be named in favor of his grandfather, Brent. Brent was the second son of three. Todd Duet, being the eldest, married Amy Duet and had two daughters, Micah and Megan. Rhett Duet, being the youngest, married Sheena Duet and had two sons, Rhett Jr. and Nathen. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, on Saturday, Feb. 19, from 10 a.m. until chapel service at 1 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Chuck Chiasson. Interment in Hope Haven Gardens of Memory, Gonzales. Brent preceded his mother, Sissey Duet, in death and was reunited with his father, Ronald Duet. Since the passing of Brents dad, his favorite song was Dance with My Father Again by Luther Vandross and now it will be his childrens. Although he gave his vessel, the Duet Trust lives on.
