Cecilia Cedotal

A resident of Prairieville, she died on Sunday, May 24, 2009 at Gonzales Health Care. She was 79 and a native of Plaquemine, LA. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 West New River St., Gonzales, on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 from 5pm until 9pm with recitation of the Rosary at 7pm. Visitation on Thursday will begin at 9am. Rev. Michael Galea will conduct religious services in the funeral home chapel at 10:30am.Interment will be at 12:45pm in Grace Memorial Park in Plaquemine. She is survived by five sons; Allen, Jr. and wife Jackie, Adrian and wife Barbara, David and wife Edith; Raymond, Sr., and wife Danielle and Douglas and Sandy Cedotal, one sister, Mary Lou West, one brother, John Earl Garantine, fourteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Jeanette Dyses Garantine, her husband, Allen J. Cedotal, Sr., son, Thomas Cedotal, two sister; Ruby LaValley and Rita Sharon and two brothers; John Edward and Clarence Garantine. Pallbearers will be; Allen J. Cedotal, Jr., Adrian Cedotal, Douglas Cedotal, Raymond W. Cedotal, Jr., Pierre Haydel and P.J. Haydel. Honorary pallbearer will be Xavier Foster.
