A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she died on September 11, 2008, at the Gonzales HealthCare Center. She was 82 and a native and resident of St. Amant. She died from complications from Alzheimers disease. She was an athlete, worked long and hard in several family-owned businesses, and was a homemaker. She loved her large family and many friends, her church, her community, and her country. Visitation will be at Ascension Funeral Home, at 426 W. New River Ave, in Gonzales on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008, from 5:00 to 9 P.M. Visitation will continue at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Amant on Monday, Sept. 15, 2008, from 9:00A.M. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. Fr. Donald Blanchard will preside. Entombment in Holy Rosary Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons Tate Tullier, Jake, Casey, and Mark Lambert, and son-in-laws Randy Tullier and Thomas Axel. She is survived by two sons, Randy Lambert and wife Valerie, and Van Lambert and wife Kathy; two daughters, Iva Tullier and husband Randy, and Carla Axel and husband Tom, all of St. Amant, eight grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by siblings, Doyle Pomp Bourgeois, Barbara Schexnaydre, Gabriel Bourgeois, Ralph Bourgeois, Bridget Sheets, Aelred Buzzy Bourgeois, and Kenneth Bourgeois. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Rambo Lambert; parents, Joseph Maurice and Elizabeth Mire Bourgeois; brothers, Donald, David and Damian Bourgeois, and sister Dorothy Bourgeois Rome Kaiser.
