She was a native of Lumberton, MS and resident of Prairieville; she died early Thursday, November 12, 2009 at the Carpenter House in Baton Rouge. Visitation will be held at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 West New River St., Gonzales, on Friday, November 13, 2009 from 10am to 12pm. Religious services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 12pm. Burial will follow in Hope Haven Cemetery, Hwy 30. She is survived by two sons, Russel C. Kiger, II and wife Mary and Greg Kiger, 2 daughters-in-law, Anita W. Kiger and Beckie K. Bradley, eight grandchildren; Sonja Anklam, Kyleen Smith, Lance Kiger, Heidi Kiger, Jacob Kiger, Russel C. Kiger, III, Sherri Crocket and Garret Kiger, sixteen great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Ina Mae Gaddis and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-five years, Russel C. Kiger, Sr., her son, Charles Patrick Kiger and her parents John and Mittie Gaddis, daughter-in-law, Jo-Anne Kiger and her brothers and sisters; Russell Gaddis, Ethel Gaddis Gillis, Grayson Gaddis, Marshall Gaddis, Ivy Gaddis Tyner, Doria Gaddis Swisher and Lois Gaddis Rose. Pallbearers will be her great-grandsons; Orey, Kameron, Devin, Hunter, Marshall, Cullen and Beau.
