A long loving and joyful life has reached the end of its journey home. Charline Kramer, age 72, a native of Ascension Parish and a resident of Gonzales, passed away September 21, 2022, at 10:15 p.m. from heart failure at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital, Baton Rouge, LA. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting with her husband, spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, plus her cat “Thomas”. She holds the title for the best monkey bread baker. Charlene loved having family and friends over to her house for holidays and parties, she was the glue of the family.
Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W New River, Gonzales, LA on Monday, September 26, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until family prepared service at 11:00 a.m. Burial at Carpenter’s Chapel Cemetery.
Survived by her husband, Gerry Kramer, her children, Shane (Amie) Kramer and Donene (Freddy) Geiger, her sisters Glenda “Sue” Michel, Patty Jean Sheets, her brother, Irvin Wayne Michel. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Amanda Ray, Sierra Geiger, Stevie (Darren) Sander, Evan Geiger, Mitchel Allen (Samantha) Sanders, Katherine Marie (Andrew Wallace), Layton Taylor (Sarah Sagastume) Sanders, Kaden Michael Kramer, Jillian Elise Geiger, 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and great-grand nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her grandparents, Thomas D. and Eunice Norwood, parents, Eugune A. and Marilyn (Norwood) Michel, her brother-in-law, William (Junior) Kramer, her in-laws William and Bertha (Parent) Kramer, her sister-in-law Margret (Lambert) Michel. Pallbearers, Troy Kramer, Casey Kramer, Joshua Sheets, Mitchel Sanders, Layton Sanders, Kaden Kramer.
