Dennis Watson

Dennis E. Watson, age 86, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017, at 8:45 a.m. at his home in Ponchatoula, LA. A native of Galvez, LA and former resident of Prairieville, LA. and retired from Allied Chemical. He was an U. S. Army veteran and a loving and caring father. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, LA on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visiting on Thursday, at Little Prairie Baptist Church, 40497 Hwy. 42, Prairieville, LA from 8:30 a.m. until service at 10:00 a.m. conducted by Pastor Nathan Luce. Graveside at Shady Grove Cemetery in Foxworth, MS at 2:00 p.m. Survived by three sons, Mike Watson and wife, Kay, James Watson and wife, Leslie, and Rene Watson; nine grandchildren, Chris, Melissa, Jeremy, Danielle, Ashley, Michael, Molly, Spencer, and Matthew; and four great grandchildren, Mallory, MacKenzie, Mason, and Stella. Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Watson; parents, John and Rosa Watson; daughter, Linda Watson; and three brothers, William, Van, and Earl Watson. He was a member of Little Prairie Baptist Church and a Masonic Lodge in Denham Springs, LA.
