Derek Babin

Derek James Babin passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 in Gonzales, LA. He was 39 years old and a lifelong resident of Geismar, LA.

Visiting will be at Ascension Funeral Home 426 West New River St., Gonzales on Saturday, December 12, 2020 from 9 am until 11:30 am with mass of the Resurrection at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Prairieville, LA at 12 noon celebrated by Father Jerry Martin.

He is survived by his father and step-mother, Anthony and Michele Babin; a daughter, Hartley Rundell; a brother, David Babin and step-brother, Trent LeBoeuf.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Rhonda Smith Babin; maternal grandparents, Terry and Addis Smith and paternal grandparents, Dennis and Rita Babin.
