Edna Mae Richardson Guedry, 95, was born in Livingston Parish on March 9, 1927. She grew up in Sorrento and resided in St. Amant, LA. She passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on July 7, 2022.
Edna was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother as well as a humble and faithful servant to God. She had a great love for Jesus and His mother, Mary. She never let a day go by without praying and interceding for all souls, especially for the lost and for her beloved family. She also had a love for flowers and making a cup of coffee for everyone who visited her.
Edna is survived by her son, Earnest Guedry (Janice); daughters, Debbie Moran, Margo Everett (Donnell), and Lola Jenks (Joe); 8 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Stanley Richardson.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilton Guedry; parents, Clifton and Constantine Richardson; brothers, J.C. Richardson and Clyde Richardson; and sister, Ruby LeBlanc.
Visitation for Edna will be held on Saturday, July 9th, 2022, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Amant, LA, from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am conducted by father Matt Lorrain. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Jason Everett, Larry Moran, Travis Guedry, Joe Jenks, Donnell Everett, and Ronnie Frederic.
