Born April 29, 1916, age 94, died peacefully at 8:28 am, Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at home surrounded by family. She was a homemaker and resident of St. Amant. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, Louisiana on Wednesday 5:00 pm 9:00 pm. Visitation at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Amant on Thursday from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am with the Rev. Jon Koehler, celebrant. Interment in the Holy Rosary Mausoleum. She is survived by 3 sons and daughtersinlaw, Jimmy and Myrtle LeBlanc, Gerald and Reba LeBlanc, Lynn and Kathleen LeBlanc and 4 daughters and sonsinlaw Jeanette and JT Richardson, Gaynell and Johnny Little, Shirley and Bruce Clouatre, Sr., and Judy and Jim Babin all of St. Amant. She also leaves behind 21 grandchildren and their spouses, 40 greatgrandchildren, 5 step greatgrandchildren and 1 step greatgreat grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents Amant Doo Doo and Clarisse Babin Bercegeay, her husband Gilbert A. LeBlanc a granddaughter Lacee Rae LeBlanc a daughterinlaw Lois Causey LeBlanc five brothers: Euclide, Milton, Wilton, Latson Pecan and Just Bercegeay died as child five sisters: Edna Bercegeay died as infant, Ozile B. Mohr, Dena B. Lavigne, Altia B. Hebert, Estelle B. Laiche. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Mark LeBlanc, Michael Richardson, Randy LeBlanc, Wade Little, Rhett Little, Jeff LeBlanc, Bruce Clouatre, Jr. and Ben Bercegeay. Eva was a devoted and active member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Amant, the Ladies Alter Society, The Catholic Daughters of America, Court St. Rose de Lima NO. 1194, the Rosary Group and she was a volunteer at the Gonzales Fellowship Center.
