Gerald E. Nicol, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at 1:30 a.m. at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice in Baton Rouge, LA. A resident of Brittany, LA and native of New Orleans, LA. He retired as an instrument technician in the Petro-Chemical industry. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force and lifelong avid fan of Tulane, LSU, and the Saints. Visiting at Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints, 502 E. Hwy. 30, Gonzales, LA on Saturday, July 4, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until service at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Bishop Seth Richardson. Burial at Hope Haven Garden of Memory, Gonzales. Please practice social distancing and masks are required. Survived by his sons, Gerald E. Nicol Jr., Colin C. Nicol, and Eric N. Nicol; sister, Lola Warren; and grandchildren, Timothy Laine Nicol, Stephan Neal Nicol, and Erin Noel Nicol. Preceded in death by his wife, Billie S. Nicol; son, Timothy Laine Nicol; parents, Martin L. and Grace N. Nicol; and seven siblings. He was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
