JoAnn was a quiet fighter and survivor. She raised seven children alone, until she married her second husband, Homer Watts, in 1974. JoAnn enjoyed volunteering at church and the senior citizen center. She liked working with ceramics. She loved decorating wedding cakes and most of her grandchildren’s birthday cakes. JoAnn had a passion for helping single moms. She was loved by all who knew her. She enjoyed watching LSU football games, and after losing most of her eyesight she spent hours watching game shows - she had a sharp mind! JoAnn cherished Christmas time, including opening presents and cooking her seafood gumbo. She was an incredible mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great- grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend. We will love and miss her always.
