Johnathan R. "Red" Hill passed away on Friday, March 13, 2015 at 8:30 am at his home in Baton Rouge, LA. He was 80 years old and a native of Baton Rouge. Before his illness Red was well known in his profession as a house painter. He was an avid L.S.U. fan and enjoyed fishing.
Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, LA on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 from 11:00 am until service at 2:00 pm conducted by Bill Krambeer. Private inurnment will be at a later date at Roselawn Memorial Park.
Survived by 2 daughters and a son-in-law Brenda and Russell Simoneaux Jr., and Sandra Ashley; four grandchildren, Tiffany and spouse Matt Mathis, Kayla Simoneaux, Maggie Ashley and Daniel Ashley; one great grandchild, Peyton Fay Mathis.
Preceded in death by his wife, Fay Hill, parents and a sister.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Hospice of Baton Rouge, Dr. David Hanson and staff for their compassionate care given to our dad during this difficult time.
