Johnny Normand, Jr.

Johnny Paul Normand, Jr., a native of Plaucheville, Louisiana, and a resident of Prairieville, Louisiana passed away at his home Monday, October 10, 2022. He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Nicole Bourgeois Normand, of Prairieville, Louisiana; and their three sons, Byron Anthony Normand, Christian Isiah Jacob Normand, and Chase Joseph Normand, all of Prairieville, his mother, Cindy Normand, of Prairieville, and his two sisters, Mindy Normand Guidry and her husband Christopher from Carencro, Louisiana; and Casey Normand Payne and her husband Timothy and their daughters Olivia and Aubrey from Church Point, Louisiana. Johnny is preceded in death by his father Johnny Paul Normand Sr., his sister Wendy Lynn Normand Prier, his paternal grandparents; James and Beulah Byrd Normand, maternal grandparents; Edward and Betty Benoit Wilson, and maternal great-grandparents; Raoul and Eliza Moran Benoit. Johnny was a very dedicated, hardworking, and loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him. Pallbearers are his three sons, Byron, Christian, and Chase Normand; Ricky Wilson, Kedric Corio, and Jerald Suave. Honorary Pallbearers are Timothy Payne and Christopher Guidry.

Visitation will be at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, LA on Wednesday, October 19 from 5pm until 9pm. Services will begin Thursday at 11am and will be conducted by Pastor James May. Burial will be at 1:30pm at Bellevue Memorial Park, 4833 Hwy. 182 South, Opelousas, Louisiana.
