Joseph Gabriele

Joseph Alberto Gabriele, resident of Baton Rouge, LA, and native of Providence, RI, passed away on August 17, 2015 at his home. He graduated from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kingspoint, NY and was a Lieutenant in the United States Naval Reserve. He received a MBA from Tulane University. After his retirement, he had a passion to teach and was currently teaching at Gonzales Middle School. He was a lector at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and a Master Gardener with a love for Plumerias. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, he is survived by his wife, Patsy Gabriele; three daughters and sons-in-law, Julie and Jonathan Bennett, Jeanne Gabriele and Jamie Rottmann, and Alicia and Richard Chautin; and five grandchildren, Preston, Claire, and Brooke Bennett, Kaitlyn Rottmann, and Jolie Chautin. Visitation at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 15615 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA, on Friday, August 21, 2015 from 10 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12 pm celebrated by Rev. Paul Gros. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
