Joseph Wilson LeFeaux died peacefully in his sleep at the age of 94 on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Golden Age Nursing Home in Denham Springs. A proud WWII veteran and a retired engineer in the oil and gas industry, he spent the majority of his career working for the Plantation Pipeline Company, following his military service in the US Army 9th Air Force, 350th Bomb Group, 495th Squadron, in France and Germany. A loving father and grandfather, he was simply 'Papa Joe' to all who knew him. The youngest son in a family of seven children, he was born in Port Allen, LA on May 26, 1924, two of his sisters, Catherine (DeDe) Walsh and Carolyn (Carrie) LeFeaux survive him. He is also survived by his children, Christine LeFeaux Landry and her husband, Randy; Joseph Michael (Mike) LeFeaux and his wife Charlotte; and Mark Adrian LeFeaux, and his husband, Jimmy. He leaves behind 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws whom he loved. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Marilyn Lavergne LeFeaux, and by two of his children, Annette LeFeaux Paxton and Charles William (Bill) LeFeaux. Per his request, his cremated remains will be interred alongside his wife at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and a memorial service will be performed by his nephew, Fr.
