Julie Bourque

Julie Anna Williams Bourque, 41, resident of Gonzales, Louisiana, passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, August 2, 2023. Julie, or “AJ” as she was known by many, was a generous, kindhearted, and artistic individual, who was also a talented singer. She was a loving mother, a devoted daughter, a supportive sister, a loyal friend and confidante, and a steadfast servant of God. She was an inspiration to everyone she met.

Julie is survived by her son, Johnathon “Johnny” Ramon Neill Westbrook; parents, Ralph Sidney Williams III and Laura Guillot Williams of Prairieville, Louisiana; grandmother, Mary Johnson Williams; two brothers and their spouses, Timothy Adi (Lacy) Williams and Joshua Sidney (Kimberly) Williams; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Joseph Bourque; and grandparents, Ralph Sidney Williams, Jr., Leroy Joseph Guillot, Sr., and Sarah Gilchrist Guillot.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service in Julie’s honor at Ascension Funeral Home on Friday, August 11, 2023, at 7 p.m. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of St. Joseph Hospice for their compassionate care, and they would like to thank the many friends who were so faithful in visiting Julie.
