Kathryn Morin

Kathryn Gautreau  Morin of Gonzales, LA passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Feb 5, 2022, at the age of 79.   The world has lost a great sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. Kathryn was born in Baton Rouge, LA on November 28, 1942, to father Harvey Gautreau and Mother Emily Lalande Gautreau. She loved her family, reading, watching football, figure skating, and tennis. She had a love and passion for crocheting and as the leader of the Louisiana Cajun Needlers Group, she spent many hours making stockings, hats, and blankets to donate for those in need.  Kathryn provided warmth and love to any room she was in. Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, her brother John Patrick (Pat), the love of her life Wayne Morin and eldest daughter Daria Morin Babin. Kathryn is survived by her sisters Mary Beth (Becky) and Rhonda, daughter Maureen, son Michael, grandchildren Rowan and Thea Morin, Jessica Babin Hudspeth, Dustin Babin, and great-grandchild Leland Hudspeth. Services for Kathryn will be between the hours of 4 and 9 pm, Friday the 11th, at Ascension  Funeral Home in Gonzales, LA. If attending, please wear a mask out of respect for everyone attending.
