Laura Oehrle

A resident of Gonzales, she died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at Gonzales Health Care. She was 83. Visitation at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Prairieville, on Tuesday, Oct. 9, from 9:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. Cary Bani, celebrant. Survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Raymond Schneller, Georgette and John Goleman and Maggie and Griff Whiteside; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael and Becky Oehrle, and Arthur Fred Oehrle Jr.; two brothers, C.J. and Jack Achee; sister, Ann Achee Neski; 10 grandchildren, Raymond, Emily and Charles C.J. Schneller, Kamie and Alex Oehrle, Sarah Melson, Lauren Goleman, Jack and Erin Whiteside and Vanessa Wainwright; and three great-grandchildren, Hunter, Harrison and Holden Wainwright. Preceded in death by her husband, Arthur F. Oehrle Sr.; parents, Amadeo and Laura Achee; two sisters and four brothers. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Arrangements by Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales. BR
