Maria Bustos

Maria Bustos, a resident of Gonzales, Louisiana passed away on May 7, 2024, at the age of 93. She was born in San Benito, Texas to Juan Bustos and Brigida Arriaga.

Maria enjoyed reading, listening to music, sewing and gardening.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 20 years, Ramon Cabello; her daughters, Juana Cabello, and Ofelia Cabello; her sister, Amparo Bustos; and her brothers, Alvaro Bustos and Margarito Bustos.

She is survived by her children, Ma. Del Refugio Cabello Bustos, Maria T. Cabello, Enedina Castillo, Juan M. Cabello, Oscar Cabello, and Jesus Cabello; her brothers Juan R. Bustos, Natalio Bustos, Arturo Bustos, and Alfredo Bustos; 31 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren

Visitation will be at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church in Gonzales, on Monday, May 13, 2024, from 9:00 am until 10:30 am. A Rosary will begin at 10:30 am and the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in the church. Burial will follow at Cornerview Cemetery.
