Marie Lefore

A resident of Gonzales and native of Plaquemine, she spent most of her life is San Diego, CA. Marie died at her home early Saturday, February 28, 2009 after battling lung cancer. She was 71. On Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Prarieville visitation will be held beginning at 9:30am. Rev. Michael Alleo will celebrate a mass of Christian burial at 11am. Interment will follow in Grace Memorial Park in Plaquemine. She is survived by her husband, Leonard LeFore, Sr., mother, Olivia Domingue, two daughters: Kerin Meza, husband Sergio, and Sylvia LeFore, six sons: Anthony, wife Diana, Leonard, Jr., wife Martha, Gerard Sr., wife Tina, Carl, wife Sarina, Michael, wife Cheryl and Joseph LeFore, five sisters: Louise Roche, Theresa Soltis, Arlene Richard, Urusla Ricard and Bernedette Purnell, five brothers: Charles, Jr., Fredrick, Hubert, Michael and Anthony Domingue, eleven grandchildren: Nicole, Jason, David, Tifaney, Ashley, Christopher, Gerard Jr., Breana, Krystal, Sergio Jordan and Dony , two great-grandhcildren: Kianna and Daeton. She was preceded in death by her father: Charles Domingue, Sr., two brothers: Joseph and John Domingue, two sisters: Rita Decuir and Lozia Domingue.
