Mary Rountree

A retired homemaker, Mary Rountree, 88, a native of Cedar Park, Texas, passed away at 2:45 a.m. in Acy from complications from COPD on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010. Visitation at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 44450 La. 429, St. Amant, Saturday, Nov. 6, from 9:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. Jon Koehler. Entombment in the church mausoleum. She is survived by four daughters, Mary Ann Lipoma, Regina Landry, Barbara Roussel and Joan SheetsLauney son, John Carroll Rountree Jr. sister, Clara Mae Franklin two brothers, William Koenig Jr., and Louis Koenig nine grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Carroll Rountree Sr. parents, Annie Koenig and William Koenig Sr. and brother, Raymond Koenig. She was a member of the American Legion Post 81 Ladies Auxiliary. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening.
