KIVETT, NANCYE HOBGOOD

She succumbed to her battle with cancer early Thursday, March 13, 2008 at her home. She was 73 and a native of Bogalusa and resident of Gonzales. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 West New River Street, Gonzales on Saturday, March 15, 2008 from 9am until 11am. Religious services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11am. Burial will follow in Lusk Cemetery, Gonzales. She is survived by two daughters; Robin K. Melancon and husband Brad and Nanette K. Hogg, three sons, William T. Kivett, Jr., Tad and wife Terri, Lynwood Paul Kivett and Matthew Wade Kivett and wife Pam, three grandchildren; Charlston Jeanette Bourgeois, Timothy Marchand and Taylor Melancon and one sister-in-law, Dorothy Dot Hobgood. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlos and Johnnie Hobgood, husband, William Taylor, Kivett, Sr., one sister, Katherine H. Slocum and three brothers; Carlos G., George and Paul Hobgood. She was past board member of the Gonzales Little Theater, a free lance writer for Gris Gris Magazine, past Mayoral secretary for the town of Gonzales and an avid LSU fan.
