Nanell Brock

God will wipe away our tears, and there will be no more pain. Nanell Gayle Lambert Brock, age 65, beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend went to be with the Lord on January 24, 2020. She was born on March 28, 1954 and lived in Galvez, Louisiana. She enjoyed a good laugh, good food and all of God’s creatures, especially her adoring cats. Nanell graduated from the second graduating class of East Ascension Academy. She was the office manager for Norco Gas and Dixie Gas Company for many years and a legal secretary at a Baton Rouge law firm. At 40 years of age, she began a nursing career until retirement. Although this was her calling, her greatest devotion was being a mother and grandmother. Nanell is survived by her two loving sons, Travis Brock, and Jeremy Brock and wife, Courtney; her grandsons whom she adored, Dylan, Dawson, Mason, and Logan Brock; Nanell is also survived by her mother, Joyce Buratt Lambert; sister, Nona Lambert Guitreau and husband, Steve; brother, Dempsey Lambert and wife, Kim; brother, Louis Lambert and wife, Kristy; and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Etienne Lambert Jr.; and her grandparents, Jane and Gilbert Buratt, and Clementine and Etienne Lambert Sr. Visitation and a celebration of Nanell’s life will be held at Galvez Pentecostal Church, 15267 Joe Sevario Rd., Gonzales, LA on Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 12 noon until service at 2 p.m. officiated by Pastor David Hairford of Galvez Pentecostal Church. Interment will follow at Carpenter’s Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Landon Lambert, Spencer Lambert, Louis Lambert, L J Badeaux, Steve Guitreau, and Michael Lavespere. Honorary pallbearer will be Mike Hodgeson. The family would like to thank the Ascension Council on Aging for their love and support through the years.
