Pauline Martinez

Pauline was 88, a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a resident of Gonzales. Surrounded by her sons and loving family, she passed away December 15, 2010 at 4:05 pm. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home chapel, 429 West New River Street in Gonzales on Saturday, December 18, 2010 from 9 am until service at 11 am. Service will be conducted by Deacon Thomas Labat. Burial will take place at Hope Haven Cemetery, Hwy. 30 in Gonzales, Louisiana. She is survived by her five sons and daughter in laws, Philip and Christina Martinez, Frank and Darla Martinez, Roy and Darlene Martinez of Lutcher, Anthony Tony Martinez of LaPlace and Michael Martinez of LaPlace. Exhusband George Martinez Sr. Daughter in law, Antoinette Net Martinez. Sixteen grandchildren, thirty one greatgrandchildren and four greatgreatgrandchildren. A brother and sisterinlaw, Clarence Blue and Lena Becnel. A sister and brotherinlaw, Irene Toot and Ray Badeaux, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Frank Becnel and Odelia Schexnayder Becnel. Two sons, George Martinez Jr. and Earl Martinez. A grandson, Steven Wade Martinez. Three sisters, Ella Mae Becnel, Grace LeBlanc and Clara Becnel. Pall bearers will be her grandsons, Sean Martinez, Tim Martinez, Telley Martinez, Anthony Martinez Jr., Jeromy Martinez and godchild Raymond Badeaux.
