Richard Everett Ricker

February 2, 1944 — December 10, 2024

He was born in Corinna, Maine February 2, 1944. A loving father and grandfather, he died Tuesday, December 10, 2024, surrounded by family and friends at the Ochsner Intensive Care Unit in Baton Rouge after a short but valiant fight with pulmonary fibrosis complicated by pneumonia.

He will always be remembered for his passion and love of family, friends, golfing, tinkering, and socializing. Survived by his two sons, Brent and wife Megan, and Brian; four grandchildren, Amber, Isaiah, Kaleb, and Elora Ricker; three brothers, Fred and wife Karla, Peter, and Jim and wife Debra; one sister, Peggy and husband Norman Clarke, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Sincere thanks to best friends Terry and Carol Tillman, and Tammy Guidry for their unwavering love and support. A special thank you to George Carpenter, Alissa Mattocks, and all his friends and coworkers at the Santa Maria Golf Course for your tremendous kindness, and support.

There will be an informal Celebration of Life at his home Sunday December 15, at 12pm to share food, drink and stories of Rick and all the joy he brought into our lives. Please sign the online guest book at ascensionfuneral.com
