Richard Barry Villar, age 74, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017, at 3:45 p.m. at Ochsner Medical Center-Baton Rouge. A resident of French Settlement, LA and native of Gonzales, LA. He was a retired carpenter and also retired security guard at Colonial Sugar for Lofton Security. He loved fishing, football, baseball, and spending time with his family. Visiting at Victory Temple Pentecostal Church of God, 41200 Hwy. 933, Prairieville, LA on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visiting on Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. until service at 10:00 a.m. conducted by Pastor James May. Burial at Galvez Pentecostal Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Inez Villar; three daughters, Angela Wade, Sonya Martin and husband, Keith, and Keri Sims and husband, Casey; two sons, Ricky Villar and John Villar; sister, Connie Deshotels; eleven grandchildren, Mike Wade and wife, Kathleen, Jodi Wade, Ronald Keith Martin Jr. and Chelsi Lambert, Justin Martin, Ricky Pone, John Villar, Katey Hughes, Chelsea Villar, Kaleb Sims, Casen Sims, and Kolby Sims; eight great grandchildren, Skylar Choate, Tyler Kelrnan, Khristina Wade, Maycee Levinger, Mylee Martin, McKynlee Martin, John Villar Jr., and Claudio Pone. Preceded in death by his father, George Richard Villar; mother, Lula Mae Joyce; two sisters, Sondra Michelle and Pam Watts; and two brothers, Jackie Villar and Ikey Villar.
