Robert Fitzgerald, Jr.

A resident of Prairieville, he died late Thursday, June 18, 2009. He was 59. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War era. Visitation at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, on Sunday, June 21, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation continues at the funeral home chapel on Monday from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Interment in Faithful United Methodist Cemetery in St. Amant. Survived by a daughter, Sundae Fitzgerald; father, Robert Fitzgerald Sr.; sister, Ann Fitzgerald Tillman and husband Robert, of Georgia; two brothers, Roy Fitzgerald and wife Lynn, and Andy Fitzgerald and wife Edith; and three grandchildren, Eric Brown, Ashlynn and Russell Henderson.
