Robert Mire

He died at 3:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, at age 85. He was a resident of Duplessis, La. He was an Army veteran and a member of American Legion Post 81. Visiting will be from 9:30 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, in St. John Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will be in Hope Haven, 37577 Duplessis Road, Prairieville, LA 70769. Survivors include daughters Myrtle Joiner and husband, Ken, Marie Ulrich and husband, Capp, and Mona Guitreau and husband, Gerald sons Barry Mire and wife, Wanda, Blake Mire and wife, Vickie, Bert Mire and wife, Dawn, and Blain Mire and wife, Dallas half sister Mary Ann Laiche half brothers Richard, Gerald and Gordan Laiche 23 grandchildren and 18 greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Delories Clouatre Mire his parents, Advline, Drausin and brother Corbert Mire birth parents, Leonce and Myrtle, and stepmother May Laiche and grandson Josiah Ulrich.
