LAICHE, SR. RODERICK

A resident and native of Gonzales, he died early Sunday, January 27, 2008 at Ascension Health Care, he was 65. Visitation will be held at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 West New River St., Gonzales, on Monday, January 28, 2008 from 5pm until 9pm and again on Tuesday beginning at 9am. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11am. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Cemetery on Hwy 933 in Prairieville. He is survived by his wife, Karen Smith Laiche, two sons- and daughter-in-law; R. J. and Cindy Laiche and Wade Laiche, four daughters and sons-in-law; Allison and Tommy Mumphrey, Melanie and Jeff Newchurch,

Stephanie and Carl Bourgeois and Raemi Laiche, three step-sons; Paul Naquin, Jr. , Codie Naquin and wife Jennie and Danny Naquin and wife Linda, two brothers; John Neil Laiche and Anicet Dooney Jr. and his wife Sherry Laiche, four sisters and brothers-in-law; Gayle and Jimmy Fontenot, Geraldine and Russel Ray Painter, Jr., Sheila and Louis Witte and his father, Anicet Laiche, Sr., twelve grandchildren, one great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Estelle Bercegeay Laiche and brother, Manuel Laiche.
