Sallie Bourque

A loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, greatgrandmother and greatgreatgrandmother, she died on Monday, April 12, 2010 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. She was 93 and native of Livingston Parish and resident of Gonzales. Visitation will be held at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 West New River St., Gonzales on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 from 5pm until 9pm Visitation on Thursday will begin at 9am. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11am. Entombment will follow in Hope Haven Mausoleum, Prairieville. She is survived by her three daughters and sonsinlaw Irma and Bernard Duplessis, Gerry and Carlyn Kling and Barbara and Gayle Daigle two sons and daughtersinlaw Mervin, Jr. and Jackie Bourque, and Keith and Linda Bourque three sisters Eula, Naomi and Stella, two brothers, Eugene and Huey, 19 grandchildren and 36 greatgrandchildren and 11 greatgreat grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Mervin P. Bourque, Sr. and her parents, Edward and Stella Sharp, Sr. son and daughterinlaw, Ronald and Jeanoma Bourque and one brother, Edward Sharp, Jr. Pallbearers will be grandsons and honorary pallbearers will be her remaining grandsons and greatgrandsons. www.ascensionfuneral.com
