Terri Lynn Bourque Norwood
A resident of St. Amant, she died on June 15th, 2024, in Baton Rouge. She was a retired employee of the Department of Health and Hospitals. She is survived by a daughter, Skye Norwood of St. Amant; one son and daughter-in-law, Benjamin “Ben” and Rebekah “Bek” Norwood of Prairieville; a stepdaughter and step-son-in-law, Shantel, and Kenneth Whetstone of Denham Springs; 2 grandsons, Benson, and Briggs Norwood; two step-granddaughters, Angel and Rose Whetstone; and three nieces and two nephews. She had a very special relationship with her cousins, Lisa Badame, Dana Neusetzer, and Cindy Gautreau and their spouses, children, and grandchildren; a valued aunt, Laura Mae Mccrory; and a dear friend Ann Cheek. She also loved her little grand-dog Otis. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Norwood, Jr.; father, Benjamin Bourque; mother, Rosella “Muie” James Bourque; paternal grandfather, Breville Bourque; paternal grandmother, Clothilde Bourque; maternal grandfather, Cairue James; maternal grandmother, Octavie LeBlanc James; 2 siblings; a nephew; a very special aunt and uncle, Dot and Larry Villeneuve, Sr, and special cousins C. J. Villeneuve, Larry Villeneuve, Jr., Ricky Villeneuve, and David Villeneuve. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 20th, 2024, at St. Mark Catholic Church in Gonzales, from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Graveside services to be held immediately following at the St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church Cemetery. Family and friends may view and sign the online guestbook at ascensionfuneral.com.
